Description We are currently seeking Family Physicians to join our growing team at Lakeside Medical Clinic. Physicians have the flexibility to build a practice aligned with their professional interests. With an on-site Urgent Care / Extended Hours Clinic, physicians may also choose to “opt in” to providing walk-in and urgent care services, allowing for additional clinical variety and income opportunities.
Qualifications
Certification or eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Eligibility for provisional or regular licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
Eligibility for, or current coverage with, CMPA
About Lakeside Medical Clinic Lakeside Medical Clinic has proudly served Saskatoon and surrounding communities since 1981. We provide comprehensive family medicine for booked appointments, as well as non-booked urgent care visits for patients who cannot access their family physician in a timely manner or who do not currently have a family physician.
Our Urgent Care Clinic operates 7 days a week, 362 days per year:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Weekends & Holidays: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
In 2020, Lakeside relocated to a new, purpose-built medical facility located on Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Urban Reserve in the Sutherland area of Saskatoon. Our integrated Family Medicine and Urgent Care model is complemented by on-site services including pharmacy, medical imaging, physiotherapy, dentistry, optometry, ENT, and physiatry.
The facility offers:
32 physician offices
68 exam rooms
2 procedure rooms
Large staff room and multimedia-equipped conference rooms
Urgent Care unit with 10 exam rooms, 2 treatment rooms, dictation area with 5 workstations, and staff lounge
Free parking, including electrified stalls
Separate private physician/staff entrance
Close proximity to laboratory services, Royal University Hospital, and Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital
Urgent Care teams consist of 3–4 physicians working together in a collegial, supportive, and fun environment. This setting provides excellent opportunities to build a new practice, see a diverse patient population, and maintain acute care skills.
