Here’s a few things everyone should be aware of before visiting your Family Physician for a booked appointment or coming in to Urgent Care:
Mask Policy: Remains unchanged. While in the building, please wear a medical grade mask.
Screening Questions: Yes, they’re still being asked. Please answer truthfully and please be kind in your reply. You’re tired of hearing them, we get that. We all are. But consider our staff; these questions get asked 400+ times a day!
Have symptoms? If you are coming in with symptoms, for visits with your Family Physician, please do a rapid test before your appointment. For Urgent Care, please do a rapid test before coming in. Rapid test kits are readily available at many locations in the city and the province.
Urgent Care Waiting Room: We are still working on keeping the waiting room as empty as possible. After registering, feel free to wait your turn in your vehicle; staff will call you when your name is up in the queue. For patients presenting with symptoms, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle. Please keep your cell phone line open for the call from the physician or staff member.
