As per SHA directives, all walk-in visits to Urgent Care will initially be booked as Telephone Assessments.
Unfortunately, if you have an out-of-province health card, this does mean you will be charged an up front cost of $35.
Payable via telephone with Visa, Visa Debit or Mastercard. If using debit or cash, you will be asked to come to Lakeside Medical Clinic in person to pay prior to being placed on the list.
As of Jan 1, 2021, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health billing guidelines state that telephone assessments will no longer be funded unless you have a Saskatchewan Health Card. Therefore, effective immediately, ALL out of province patients must pre-pay for their telephone assessment.
If, after your telephone assessment, you are called in to see the Urgent Care physician in person, you will be refunded the $35. This also applies for out of province patients with regular scheduled telephone assessment appointments with their family doctor.
If you have recently travelled, have symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed (or potentially exposed) to someone with COVID-19, are currently waiting on COVID-19 test results or are currently being advised to self isolate you will NOT physically be invited into the clinic.
